Vancouver, Wash.-based Papa Murphy’s Take ‘n Bake claims to have six locations in Albuquerque (actually, Urbanspoon lists ten locations). According to officials, its newest Albuquerque location will be at 8631 Golf Course Rd. NW, and will open in late August/early September.
Why? Albuquerque is overloaded with mediocre chain pizza joints. Doesn’t PM have enough outlets in The Duke City? For me, ten is more than enough. But here we go. Again.
Voters on Urbanspoon have a binary choice: “I like it,” or “I don’t like it.” Of the 53 people who voted so far, 39 (73 percent) liked it. The sample is too small to be statistically significant, but indicates a trend. I, myself, don’t like PM (my choice is not included in the data).
Ho hum.
ABQ has no shortage of really great pizzerias. Nicky V’s, Giovanni’s, Pizza 9, and Village Pizza come to mind, all places that I think are are really good. Break The Chain.
